This November virtual public meeting of the Stakeholder Forum provided an opportunity for members of the Forum and the public to learn and dialogue about Project progress, science, funding, and other restoration-related topics.

Here you can access records from Stakeholder Forum and early Project planning meetings, from 2003 to 2017. The Stakeholder Forum is the principal public advisory body to the Restoration Project.

June 21, 2012 Meeting
Meeting purpose: Present Shoreline Study partners’ tentatively selected plan for Alviso-area flood risk management (including levee alignments), ecosystem restoration and public trails, and gather input.

This Working Group is being convened as a subcommittee of the Lower Alameda Creek Stewardship Committee, an ongoing group that advises the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District.

Phase 1 of the SBSP project in the Ravenswood ponds focuses on opening up some salt ponds to the bay, and on possible expansion to and improvement of public access. Simultaneously, the Shoreline Study is will be developing and examining the feasibility of developing detailed plans for ecosystem restoration and the long-term flood protection levees, and other flood protection improvements.

Learn about the science that undergirds the Restoration Project at our 2-day Symposium, featuring up-to-date presentations and discussion on tidal marsh and pond restoration, waterbirds, sediment,  exciting collaborations and more.

The National Science Panel spearheaded the concept of a design charette to lay out a long-term vision that can guide the project over several decades, and bring existing experience to bear on both the identification of important research issues and opportunities for early restoration successes.

This South Bay Salt Pond Restoration (SBSPR) Project annual meeting seeks to bring all researchers up to date on latest studies/results, foster collaboration among researchers, seek ideas for funding for science/applied studies, and foster direct dialogue between researchers and managers on proposed management actions.

This seminar was targeted toward researchers and scientists working in the south San Francisco Bay to better understand NOAA CO-OPS vertical datums information.
