Join a Refuge biologist for a leisurely morning stroll to view shorebirds that frequent the Pond SF2! This will be an interpretive guided tour to learn about resident bird species, migratory birds and the South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project. Many migratory waterfowl are traveling through the Bay Area from October through January along what is known as the Pacific Flyway migratory path. This free event is open to all, but registration is required. Register here. This is a 1.4-mile round trip on an all-weather, accessible trail (one overlook has a 4-inch step). Parking and bathroom are on-site. Some binoculars will be available to borrow.
